So much so that I’ve inadvertently bought the Hobbyboss (ex Merit I believe) 1/200 Imperial Japanese Navy pre WWI Mikasa Battleship! I promised myself I wouldn’t look at another model before I’d finished
It's a good kit too. The Hobby Boss kit has a more detailed engine (complete with exhaust) and landing gear. I haven't had many problems with the fit of the parts. The worst one was probably my fault and is located under the wing tips. There is a joint there where the upper and lower wing halves are joined. Another plus for the Hobby Boss kit
Conclusion: While no plastic figure or figure set will be able to compare to detail that can be captured in resin or 3D printing, this set from Hobby Boss is actually quite nice for plastic, even with a few light seams to clean and a bit of rescribing.
